Hi, I'm Nina Taylor

I’m a registered counsellor and secondary teacher.

I believe that healing unfolds and we flourish when we are safe and supported to be our authentic selves.

We all get stuck at different points in our lives.

I would welcome the opportunity to be there with you to explore those seemingly unnavigable moments and help you to connect with the wisdom of your own mind and heart.

My Approach

I work within a client-led, compassionate, neuroaffirming framework. This accords with my values and my love of science and the rich evidence base it offers us.

I honour lived experience, my own and that of my clients, and the strength we can discover in meeting adversity.

I draw on many different theoretical and practical modalities including Attachment Theory, Neuroscience, Trauma-informed approaches, Structural Dissociation, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Self-Compassion.

Here you can expect

Here you are warmly welcomed to relax and reflect at your own pace.

Your individuality is celebrated and deeply respected.

You decide what we discuss, and what we don’t, and when.

Here is a safe space to notice difficult experiences, and to let them rest in the past, making way for new views.

With great self-compassion and radical acceptance, we honour the adaptive nature of all the strategies that were needed to bring us safely to this moment.

Gently integrating our experiences, we are freed to move and breathe and live.

"Act as skillfully as you can.
Do what is needed for the
situation you are in.
Not the situation you wish you were in,
not the one that is fair,
not the one that is more comfortable."
Marsha Linehan
